Music and Dyslexia

Music is the art of sounds, a knowledge that each of us possesses in our universal memory in a more or less conscious manner. Since the music is structured by sounds that have certain frequencies and durations, the only way to teach it correctly, that is, to retrieve its knowledge in our universal memory, is to use those same frequencies and durations. Therefore, the path of knowing and learning is not that by making something external to us our own, as in traditional didactics, but that of 'illuminating' and thus remembering something that was already, albeit in latent form, in our universal memory. The teaching of music and the instrument in traditional didactics is filtered through the cognitive system, a system that is not set up for this task, but which is used in its primary function because music is considered and treated as a language and is taught as such. As this system is deficient in dyslexic children, its use, if not compensated for, creates learning problems.
